All residents of Department of Family Medicine in Trakya University School of Medicine who completed their hospital rotations were included in the study. A questionnaire including sociodemographic data and their competency and clinical skills in all rotations regarding national curriculum was applied to the participants.

Results:

The age range was 26-35 years (mean:29.3 ± 2.4) and 24 were female (72.7%), 9 were male (27.3%). "Are you contented to be a resident in family medicine?" was answered “Yes” by 28 (84.8%), 5 people (15.2%) were “Undecided”.
According to the answers, among all learning objectives, four of them were ahead of the others were:
1-Obtaining swabs from secretion, wound or tissue and evaluating the results: 100% (Internal Medicine Rotation)
2-Autoscopic Examination: 97.0% (Pediatrics Rotation)
3-Psychiatric interview and evaluation (Taking psychiatric history, Mental state examination, Risk Assessment): 93.9% (Psychiatry Rotation)
4-Effective use and interpretation of Emergency Tests: 93.9% (Emergency Medicine Rotation)
Five learning objectives were chosen as the most insufficient were:
1-Gonadal Diseases: 6.1% (Internal Medicine Rotation)
2-Tracheostomy: 6.1% (Pulmonary Medicine Rotation)
3-Diseases of Adrenal Gland: 9.1% (Internal Medicine Rotation)
4-Pituitary-Hypothalamus Diseases: 9.1% (Internal Medicine Rotation)
5-Writing reports (Forensic Reports, Medical Reports): 9.1% (Psychiatry Rotation)

Conclusions:

Although rotational learning outcomes in the curriculum have been shared with every department, the only goal which has been achieved was one competency. Each department which is included in the rotation should improve their training content and methods to meet the needs of Family Medicine program.
