Introduction:

Intracranial aneurysm is a severe cerebral lesion that can cause neurologic deficits if bleeding occurs due to rupture. Unruptured aneurysm is extremely rare in early childhood and is generally determined incidentally.

Case:

Three-year-old boy evaluated for focal onset secondary generalized seizures. Neurological examination was normal. Electroencephalography revealed right temporal spike and wave activity. To seek for cerebral lesions MRI performed. MRI an MR angiography showed right temporal giant unruptered aneurysm. Patient was seizure free with oral levetiracetam. surgical clipping was performed succesfully and the patient still remains under close follow-up.

Discussion:

Intracerebral aneurysms are rare etiological cause of childhood epilepsy. It should be taken into consideration in patients with focal seizures.
